Not Every Print Comes Out Perfectly, and That's Part of the Magic
Not every print comes out perfectly the first time, and that is actually part of the magic.
Behind the scenes, 3D printing involves testing, learning, and trying again until a design works exactly the way it should. Over time we end up with a collection of failed prints and test pieces that remind us how much problem solving goes into the finished products you see in the shop.
Every “failure” teaches us something new, and those lessons help us deliver better, stronger, and more reliable prints for our customers. If you are experimenting with 3D printing, you are always welcome to reach out for tips or come by for advice. We love helping fellow makers.
We also work hard to reduce waste whenever we can. Some leftover material gets a second life as catapult ammo that customers can grab for $1 per bag, and a bag is always included free with a catapult purchase. We are also working toward getting our PET bottle recycling setup running so we can turn used plastic bottles into new filament. Would you be interested in prints made from recycled bottles? We would love to hear your ideas for reusing print waste.
And when you bring us e waste, or arrange for us to pick it up, it does more than just stay out of local landfills. We responsibly collect and process it to keep harmful materials and chemicals out of the environment, and we plan to use donated electronics for educational and community programs through a nonprofit we are building to support future makers and learners.
